Steampunk Aircraft Carrier

I toured the USS Yorktown recently, a 1940’s era aircraft carrier capable of holding 3000 men and 90 planes.  It’s amazing this thing ran but it did.  Every piece of control – switches, lights, buttons, generators, electrical systems – everything was as analog as you could imagine.

Rescue Hatch

Was touring the USS Yorktown Aircraft Carrier near Charleston, SC checking out the old airplanes on the deck.  They were very old school aircraft and this one the side of one of the planes where the rescue hatch was located.  I felt like I was walking around on the Philadelphia Experiment.
